A hill station which is so different from Manali and Shimla because the entire Dalhousie town is situated all around a mountain, called Garam Sadak, where sun light comes and Thandi Sadak, falls on the sun shadow. In Dalhousie there are lots of things to be done and places to be visited.
Places of interest
Phoolon ki Ghati : situated at around 25 kms, with beautiful location with flowers all around and provides a full view of Himalayan ranges in front.
Khajjiar : Never to be missed, an exotic location, which constitutes of completely plane circular grassland surrounded by meadows Pine trees. Tourist throng this place and children play as it is a huge stretch of grassland.
Kalatop : Reserved National Forest, which is famous for some rare species of animals not found anywhere. One can access this forest via taxi and go up to the rest house of Forest Department, which is situated in midst of reserved forest. Some formality is required to visit inside during the day, but, special permission has to be taken for night stay at the rest house of forest department
Subhash ki Bawli : It is situated just 3kms below the Dalhousie. One can travel and reach there. It is a place where Subhash Chandra Bose had spent some time to recover from ill health. The place consists of statue of S.C Bose and a stream with a beautiful water fall. The place is very quite and serene. There are few restaurants but, place is not crowded with habitation.
Sach Pass : Located at about 14,478 Ft. and around 70 kms. away from Dalhousie. There is motor able road across Such Pass and is in good shape.
